More than just a bad guy from reality TV? Aware viewers caught Micah Lussier and Irina Solomonova acting mean to the other pod contestants while they were on Love Is Blind.
“You know what, I mean. So be it,” Micah said in an exclusive interview with Us Weekly before the start of season 4 in March 2023. “Irina made me laugh and reminded me of who I am and that I like to laugh, and that was what she did for me. I like making jokes. Even though the situation is extremely serious, I don’t have to be unhappy. I don’t regret it because she gave me the opportunity to enjoy myself a little.
Irina and the marketing manager were both chosen to take part in the fourth season of the popular dating program on Netflix. Viewers noticed that the two friends appeared to be making fun of the other women while they were looking for The One. Irina is seen in one scene laughing from behind the kitchen island as Amber Wilder sobs inconsolably over her love triangle with Paul Peden and Micah, who would later become his fiancée.
Micah was also seen laughing during the pod experiment at the expense of others. Jackelina Bonds interrupted the group of women after breaking down in tears over possibly offending Josh Demas’ feelings. Is it men or do you have a headache? Micah questioned the distraught dental assistant. Micah and Irina exchanged looks and Micah bit back a chuckle when Jackelina was too upset to respond.
Irina and Bliss Poureetezadi engaged in a savage rivalry for Zack Goytowski’s affections as a result of Irina’s own “mean girl” behavior. The situation worsened when Irina pretended to be envious of the senior program manager because she was making cupcakes for Zack’s birthday even though she was unaware of the date. The Solo founder and Bliss later brought legal complaints against one another to the lawyer.
“Hey. Look, I know I talk s—t about some girls, but I don’t mean any harm,” Irina said to Zack in the pods. Zack sat there perplexed. If I’m cooking with [Bliss] and I say, “Ooh, how does that taste? That’s just me, you know. I really do mean those things, and I’m not trying to come off as sneaky or prankish. For her, it’s simply different. I find it strange that she feels this way.
In the end, Zack chose his relationship with the Russian national over Bliss. He proposed without seeing her, but soon after their first encounter, they parted ways.
“Meeting him was a lot harder than I anticipated it would be. Irina exclusively told Us in March 2023, “Like, it was really hard to connect the connection we made in the pods versus being together. “I’ll admit that when I first saw him, I didn’t feel safe or comfortable, and it wasn’t even because of the way he looked. I just had a gut feeling that something wasn’t right. I think I was kind of trying to pressure or force myself to feel these feelings for him, but it was just something that grew.
