Minka Kelly, star of the hit TV show Friday Night Lights, has opened up in a candid interview about her tumultuous relationship with co-star Taylor Kitsch, as well as her struggles with addiction, mental health, and abortion. Speaking with “Tell Me Everything” host Jane Smith, Kelly revealed some shocking revelations about her time on the show and her personal life.
Kelly and Kitsch, who played love interests on the show, had a “toxic” relationship that eventually led to their split. “We were young, and we were both struggling with our own demons,” Kelly said. “It was a very intense relationship, and it just wasn’t healthy for either of us.”
Despite playing close friends on the show, Kelly admitted that she didn’t connect with her female co-stars. “I don’t know what it was, but we just didn’t click,” she said. “I felt like an outsider at times, and that was really hard for me.”
However, Kelly did have the support of some of her male co-stars. “The guys on the show were amazing. They really looked out for me and supported me,” she said. “I’m so grateful for their friendship.”
Kelly also opened up about her troubled teenage years, which included struggles with addiction and mental health. “I was in a really dark place, and I didn’t know how to get out of it,” she said. “But eventually, I got help and started to turn my life around.”
One of the most shocking revelations came when Kelly spoke about her decision to have an abortion at a young age. “It was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make,” she said. “But it was the right decision for me at the time, and I have no regrets.”
Despite the challenges she has faced, Kelly remains optimistic about the future. “I’ve learned that you can’t change the past, but you can use it to make a better future,” she said. “I’m grateful for everything I’ve been through because it’s made me who I am today.”
